RSPCA

Cupcake Day for the RSPCA is coming up on August 15 and what better reason to start making some buttercream icing, but also to make a difference to the lives of many animals waiting for their forever homes.

"The RSPCA is Australia’s oldest, largest and most trusted animal welfare organisation. With this privileged position comes great responsibility. This year we received 133,495 animals in our animal shelters and adoption centres across the country. We are pleased to report that over the past 10 years we have adopted out, reunited with their owners and released into the wild 711,117 animals. This includes adopting/reuniting with owners, 388,636 dogs/puppies and 233,930 cats/kittens."

It's amazing to think of how many animals are abandoned or lost. The sadness that fills my heart when I think of how these animals must feel sitting, waiting, day after day for the next person to walk by and to choose them! Harry met his forever home family in December 2014 and has been loving life ever since. If you are interested in adopting a pet head to the RSPCA website. It truly is a rewarding experience.

So what are you waiting for? Start baking, get over to the RSPCA Cupcake Day website, register for a free host kit and transform some lives!
