When the temperature begins to drop, the days are well and truly getting shorter and the prospect of winter is coming (and is definitely already here) we tend to forget about the harshness that the cooler months can have on our skin.

Recently relocating from one of the warmest cities in Australia to one of the coldest cities, this will be my first proper winter in over 4 years! Let's just say I am not as well prepared as I thought I was. After realising that having a night in and running a hot bath was exactly what I needed, I headed to my local LUSH store and decided to try out some old favourites and some new products.

LUSH products are 100% vegetarian and vegan and contain fruits and vegetables such as grapefruit juice, vanilla beans, lemon juice and coconut oil. LUSH contribute to the fight against animal cruelty and testing.

One of the most famous products LUSH is known for are their Bath Bombs, after all they did create them! Bath Bombs are gold, they are by far one of the best products LUSH have!

Here are our top 3 skin loving bath bombs at the moment:

Yoga Bomb - old time favourite

This bright orange bomb with a sneaky colour change within, takes almost 20 minutes to fully dissolve, this is designed to keep you in your bath for longer. However, as the name suggests, its purpose is to help you relax, just as if you are taking a yoga class. The amazing smells of Ho wood and sandalwood oil help create the perfect escape and sense of calm in your bath.

Dragon's Egg - Khaleesi's Fave

For all the Game of Thrones lovers out there, this bath bomb is for you! This light coloured bath bomb with speckles of colours, is a citrus infused bomb of lemon sherbet. With a hint of Jasmine comes a little excitement of crackle and pop and a luxury golden colour.

Twilight - not like the movies

Unlike the famous tween movie, there is nothing vampire like about this beauty! Perfect for a "just before bed" bath. With light pink appearance scattered with shimmers of stars this bath bomb is slow dissolving that has a divine lavender scent and is designed to help relax stress out bodies and minds.

Other products that had been used with the bath bombs included:

If you are not a fan of bubble baths or bath bombs, then do not go past this amazing bath oil! This product, in one word is amazing! The smell is to die for, it's like fluffy marshmallows. Not only does your skin feel amazingly soft, you do not need to put on a moisturiser, as your skin stays so soft well after you have had your bath.

This fun and colourful multipurpose bar is not only soap, it's a shampoo, it's a babble bath and it's also play-doh. So really it's fun for kids as well as adults! There are seven colours just like a rainbow all with their own designed scent. This is a perfect product as it can be used in the shower not just the bath. Again with its fruit and vegetable oils, this like the marshmallow melting moment leaves your skin so soft.

Each one of these products are perfect to utilise in winter! The only down side is the over load of glitter in these products! You will come out as a shiny disco ball, and your bath tub will be full of leftover glitter. LUSH do make a few bath bombs and bath oils with less glitter in them such as Avobath Bath Bomb and You've Been Mangoed Bath Oil.

But, if you are like me and don't really mind, these products are perfect for a night in. Their natural oils help replenish lost moisture in the skin and are prefect for when the temperature drops and it's stay at home, relax and pamper yourself kinda day or night.
