DIY Envelope Liners

Are you a bit crafty? Do you want to save a few dollars? DIY is great for those looking to add a personal touch to their stationery!

Envelope liners are the perfect way to add a personal touch to your stationery, while saving dollars and making your letters, invitations and cards just that little bit fancier! Lining your envelopes is easy and you can choose any paper, design and colour you like. I have used some of the beautiful wrapping paper from Rifle Paper Co.

If you are "skilled" and can cut paper in straight lines then you may not need a template, I however can not, so I picked up some envelope liner templates from Scrappers Warehouse. They were super speedy on delivery and made my job so much easier.

The envelope liners come in various sizes and if they happen to be a little too big it is easy enough to trim the paper down. Using the template cut your chosen paper down to size. ( I found a craft knife really helpful, but use caution as they are super sharp! ) Insert the liner into the envelope all the way to the bottom, now you don't need to stick this down anywhere at this stage. If your envelopes have the adhesive at the top then you can use this to stick down your liners, then just trim any excess overlap. Alternative glue tape, or even normal glue will do the trick. You only need to stick down the liner at the very top of the envelope flap and it will completely stay in place.

Once the invitation or letter is inside you can seal with glue or use a lovely wax seal! Don't forget the stamp and you are all set to go!
